Biju Basumatary (BB), originally from Assam, a northeastern state of India, completed his MSc at Tezpur Central University. In May 2018, BB obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) under the guidance of Professor Jeyaraman Sankar. In Nov 2018, BB began his postdoctoral research at Kyushu University, Japan, as a JSPS fellow, working with Professor Hiroyuki Furuta, and later served as a Specially Appointed Assistant Professor until October 2021. Subsequently, he moved to the University of St Andrews, UK, as a Marie-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow, with Professor Eli Zysman-Colman. In July 2023, BB joined the Department of Chemistry at IIT Delhi as an Assistant Professor (More).
